Dry Desulfurization Grinding Mill Daily Operation, Maintenance, and Common Fault Solutions

A dry desulfurization grinding mill is a continuously operating specialized industrial device. Proper daily operation and maintenance not only ensure stable equipment operation and qualified desulfurization fineness, but also extend service life, reduce failure probability and repair costs, and minimize the risk of desulfurization system shutdown caused by equipment downtime. The following are the daily operation and maintenance guidelines and common fault solutions.

I. Daily Operation and Maintenance Specifications

Daily maintenance (before and after start-up)

Before start-up, check equipment lubrication; promptly add lubricating oil to bearings and transmission parts; check whether foundation bolts and connecting parts are tightened to avoid vibration caused by looseness.

Check the operating status of the feeder, classification wheel, and bag dust collector to confirm no blockage or jamming, and clean residual material at the inlet.

Monitor current, voltage, and discharge fineness in real time during operation; stop promptly to investigate any abnormality, and never run the equipment with faults.

Before shutdown, stop feeding first; after the material inside the grinding chamber is completely ground and discharged, then shut down the main machine to avoid residual material caking.

Periodic maintenance (weekly / monthly / yearly)

Weekly, clean the pulse dust collector bags and air duct accumulated powder to ensure smooth airflow and avoid dust blockage causing unstable fineness and reduced capacity.

Monthly, check wear of grinding hammers, rollers, liners, classification wheels, and other wear parts; replace promptly if wear exceeds the limit to avoid affecting grinding efficiency.

Yearly, perform a comprehensive overhaul, replace aged seals and lubricating oil, calibrate the variable-frequency control system, and thoroughly check electrical and pneumatic hazards.

Core notes: Strictly control the moisture content of the desulfurizer raw material; a moisture content of ≤3% is recommended. Moist material easily causes wall sticking and blockage; overloading feeding is strictly prohibited. Keep feeding uniform to ensure stable equipment operation.

II. Common Faults and Solutions

Fault 1: Unstable discharge fineness, coarse and fine mixed. Causes: abnormal classification wheel speed, air volume fluctuation, moist raw material. Solution: calibrate the classification wheel variable-frequency speed, adjust induced air volume, dry the raw material, and clean accumulated powder on the classification wheel.

Fault 2: Reduced capacity, less discharge. Causes: severe wear of wear parts, air duct powder blockage, uneven feeding. Solution: replace worn wear parts, clean air duct powder, and adjust the feeder for uniform feeding.

Fault 3: Equipment blockage, severe wall sticking. Causes: excessively high raw material moisture, excessive feeding, abnormal internal flow field. Solution: dry raw material, reduce feeding amount, clean wall-stuck material, and check for air leakage in seals.

Fault 4: Dust leakage, heavy on-site dust. Causes: aged seals, blocked bag dust collector, insufficient negative pressure. Solution: replace seals, clean or replace dust collector bags, check induced fan pressure, and ensure negative-pressure operation.

Good daily operation and maintenance can effectively extend equipment service life by over 30%, greatly reduce wear-part replacement and repair costs, and ensure the continuous stable compliant operation of the entire dry desulfurization system.
