A rotary arch breaker is a mechanical device designed to solve the problem of poor discharge caused by arching and bridging of material inside silos. It consists of a drive unit, a rotating mechanism, a scraper mechanism and a housing. A motor drives a reducer that turns the rotating mechanism, which drives the scraper (or blade / arch-breaking shaft) in a low-speed circular motion along the inner wall of the silo, especially near the cone or outlet. When material forms an arch or bridge and blocks flow due to friction, adhesion or particle characteristics, the rotating scraper/blade/shaft cuts forcefully into and agitates the material, destroying the supporting and adhesive forces between particles, breaking up lumps or collapsing the arch. The broken material then regains its flowability under gravity and discharges smoothly. It is widely used in the chemical, grain, mining and building materials industries.

01 Scraper/blade type arch breaker: its core is a rotating scraper or blade that runs close to the silo wall to scrape and cut accumulated material and arches. The structure is relatively simple and arch breaking is direct and effective.
02 Rotary blade arch-breaking discharger: usually combines arch breaking with discharge (e.g. a hollow discharge design). It uses a slewing bearing to drive a large blade assembly, giving a wide arch-breaking range.
03 Twin arch-breaking shaft design: two shafts rotate together to increase the breaking capacity for materials prone to arching and ensure continuous conveying.
04 Sealing: some models (such as the arch-breaking screw feeder) have a pressure-resistant sealing structure suitable for positive and negative pressure environments, preventing dust leakage
05 Material variety: standard construction is carbon steel; food and pharmaceutical applications require stainless steel (SUS304/316L). Special materials (such as titanium) can be customized for highly corrosive environments.
The arch-breaking device provides a comprehensive solution for conditions such as arching and bridging at the silo outlet, hollowing of the silo with material not flowing at the sides, and material adhering to the silo walls.

Mainly used for materials with poor flow, bridging or wall adhesion, such as silica earth, calcium carbide, titanium chloride, carbon, toner, ink, diatomaceous earth, glass fiber, fiber, paper scraps, wood chips, shredded waste plastic, dyes, pigments, coatings, tea residue, furnace ash, dehydrated food, activated carbon, oil residue, dust, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, citric acid, etc.

1. Adapts to various silo types; it can be bent to the silo angle for flexible installation.

2. Round steel scraper provides a more uniform contact surface and causes almost no damage to the material.

3. Scrapers with transverse ribs handle poorly flowing materials better.

4. Can easily cope with interference from other devices inside the silo.
