Product Introduction
The Z-type elevator is a new type of chain-bucket elevating conveyor. Its unique Z-shaped structure allows it to convey granular and powder materials both vertically and horizontally within a limited space. Using a series of buckets fixed to a special chain, it lifts bulk material from one level to another. It is especially suitable where both vertical lifting and horizontal conveying are needed, such as handling small lumps, granules or powders in the food, chemical, new materials, environmental treatment, metallurgy and mining industries, making it an indispensable piece of equipment in modern production.
Applications
Z-type elevators are currently widely used for lifting and conveying bulk small lumps, granules and powders across many industries: lifting and conveying chemical raw materials, handling and lifting recycled materials, lifting and transporting ore and metal powders, lifting finished material into silos, transferring material between different processing stages, cyclic feeding and discharging on automated lines, and material supply to weighing, packaging and batching lines.
Product Features
- 01Enclosed, eco-friendly body: the fully enclosed housing reduces dust from material leakage during operation and meets environmental requirements.
- 02Reduced material breakage: damage to granular material is minimized throughout feeding, conveying and discharge, lowering the reject rate.
- 03Multiple conveying configurations - Z-type, C-type, combined ZC-type and straight (in-line) type - suit a wide variety of applications.
- 04Single or multiple feeding/discharge points allow automatic discharge at one or several locations, suitable for supplying a row of multiple silos.
- 05Uniform feeding with little spillage or leakage: a vibrating feeder can be fitted for flow-in, constant-speed feeding, reducing overflow from full buckets.
- 06Space-saving and flexible layout: combined horizontal and vertical conveying with a compact structure and small footprint suits more production processes.
- 07Customized to the user: horizontal conveying up to 100 m and vertical lifting up to 60 m are both available, meeting the needs of different production sites.
Working Principle
The Z-type elevator is a machine for conveying materials and products. A motor drives a chain that moves buckets along a predetermined path inside a sealed housing, in a horizontal-vertical-horizontal (or horizontal only) sequence. During this process the bucket openings always face upward and the material remains stationary. When a bucket reaches the discharge position, an automatic discharge device empties it. Unlike conventional elevators that use digging feed, it uses a flow-in feed method, with auxiliary equipment such as a vibrating distributor providing uniform feeding.
